On October 14–15, 2025, a five-member delegation from Voith Austria, a subsidiary of the global leader in drive technology and equipment manufacturing, the Voith Group—comprising Thomas Schubert, Director of Procurement; Martin Gall, ICC Procurement Specialist at the Voith Group; Wolfgang Pfannhauser, Procurement Manager at Voith Austria; as well as Huang Heming, Senior Procurement Engineer for Castings and Forgings Materials in Voith’s Asia region, and Gao Yuanqi, Senior Quality Engineer—visited Fuan Heavy Industries to conduct an in-depth and comprehensive strategic cooperation assessment.
This is by no means an ordinary client visit; rather, it represents a critical “assessment” of China’s high-end equipment manufacturing capabilities, signaling that Fuan Heavy Industry has taken another solid and significant step on its path to internationalization.

Voith, a century-old enterprise with deep-rooted expertise, is a technology leader and an indispensable partner across numerous sectors, including energy, oil and gas, papermaking, raw materials, and transportation and public transit. The company is globally renowned for its stringent quality standards, rigorous procurement processes, and exacting requirements for its supply-chain system. In recent years, the fact that Fuan Heavy Industry has been included in Voith’s supplier roster is unequivocally a “platinum-level” endorsement of its overall strength.
The visit of Voith Austria’s core procurement team vividly demonstrates that Liaoning Fuan Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., leveraging its robust capabilities, has already established significant industry influence in the global high-end cast-steel components sector.
On the day of the visit, Liu Aiguo, General Manager of Fuan Heavy Industry, Li Min, Chief Engineer, and leaders from the company’s Technology, Quality, and Marketing departments engaged in an in-depth technical exchange with Voith Austria’s procurement and quality teams. This not only underscored Fuan Heavy Industry’s high regard for the visit by the Voith team but also highlighted the company’s core corporate values of technology-driven innovation and integrity-based collaboration.
During the on-site tour, Li Min, Chief Engineer of Fuan Heavy Industry, used actual equipment and components to provide a detailed overview of the company’s core technological expertise in the materials field. He also showcased Fuan’s comprehensive inspection system—ranging from ultrasonic testing and magnetic particle inspection to physicochemical analysis and mechanical property testing—and underscored the company’s unwavering commitment to “zero tolerance” for quality issues, earning repeated nods of approval from European customers known for their rigorous standards.

This visit by the Voith (Austria) team can be described as a highly successful “industry tour.” Thomas Schubert lavished high praise on Fuan Heavy Industry for its state-of-the-art management practices, cutting-edge equipment manufacturing capabilities, and the exceptional professionalism of its technical team.
“The wind blows in from the sea, and the tide surges along the banks of the Liao River.” This collaboration between Voith (Austria) and Fuan Heavy Industry vividly exemplifies the transformation and upgrade of “Made in China” toward “Smart Manufacturing in China.” We have every reason to believe that, with its robust capabilities and sincere commitment, Fuan Heavy Industry will continue to hone its strengths through both cooperation and competition with global peers, ultimately writing its own glorious chapter on the world stage of high-end equipment manufacturing.
Voith (Austria) GmbH is a subsidiary of the Voith Group, founded in St. Pölten, Austria, in 1904 and managed by Walter Voith until 1944. As part of the Group’s global expansion strategy, its operations are centered on the parent company’s core business areas, providing products and services in sectors such as energy, papermaking, and drive technology.
