On May 11–12, 2025, a four-member delegation from Toshiba Energy Systems Corporation—including Yasushi Oishi, Head of the Steam Turbine Department at the Keihin Plant; Masaki Matsunaga, Head of the Procurement Department; Wu Yibing, Head of the Procurement Department for Power Systems at Toshiba (Shanghai); and Liu Yun, Procurement Manager—paid a visit to Fuan Heavy Industries. Since the two companies established their partnership in 2006, they have collaborated for nineteen years. This visit not only served as a review and summary of their cooperative journey but also as an opportunity for in-depth discussions and strategic dialogue on future collaboration.

During the meeting, Liu Aiguo, General Manager of Fuan Heavy Industry, extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Toshiba Corporation. He emphasized: “Over the past 19 years, Toshiba has provided robust support to Fuan Heavy Industry in areas such as technological innovation, process optimization, and quality control, and this mutually beneficial, win-win cooperation model has become a benchmark for Sino-Japanese manufacturing collaboration.”

Accompanied by Deputy General Manager Yu Guangyu, Toshiba’s senior executives toured Fuan Heavy Industry’s machining plant, steel casting division, finished-products division, and the company’s nationally accredited physicochemical laboratory. During the visit, Toshiba highly commended Fuan’s independently developed precision machining systems, end-to-end quality traceability system, and industry-leading testing capabilities. Director Matsunaga specifically noted: “Fuan’s breakthroughs in recent years in its transformation toward high-end manufacturing are truly impressive, and its reliable delivery performance and outstanding product quality have earned high praise at Toshiba.”

During his on-site inspection of the Fuan Factory, Minister Da Shi expressed high praise for its machining and casting capabilities, emphasizing that “Fuan’s robust infrastructure and mass-production expertise have laid a solid foundation for collaboration.” Minister Wu Yibing specifically noted: “Against the backdrop of transformative changes in the global manufacturing landscape, Toshiba looks forward to deepening collaborative innovation with strategic partners like Fuan to jointly build a more resilient industrial ecosystem.”
This visit by the Toshiba team has not only deepened mutual understanding and trust between the two companies, further solidifying the foundation of nearly two decades of cooperation, but also laid a robust groundwork for future collaborative development, facilitating in-depth discussions on business partnerships and the reaching of consensus. At the same time, with technology co-research, industrial integration, and ecosystem co-building as the core pillars, the two sides have injected strong momentum into deepened cooperation in the fields of high-end equipment manufacturing and green energy!
