[Company News] Setting a Benchmark for Precision Engineering and Reestablishing a Model of Contract Fulfillment—Haili’s Zala Project Successfully Rush-Produces and Ships Gate Valve Components

On April 23, 2025, Liaoning Fuan Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Fuan Heavy Industry”) successfully completed the emergency fabrication of the valve components for the Zara Project commissioned by Harbin Electric Machinery Factory Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Harbin Electric”), and held a shipment ceremony at Fuan Heavy Industry. Attending the ceremony were Zhao Xin, Chief Accountant of Harbin Electric; Li Yingkai, Deputy Manager of the Procurement Department; Li Jian, Director of the Comprehensive Management Office of the Procurement Department; Yang Jingxin, Director of the Quality and Technology Center of the Procurement Department; Liu Aiguo, General Manager of Fuan Heavy Industry; and other relevant leaders, who jointly witnessed this milestone moment.

Racing against time, forging excellence with meticulous craftsmanship.

Upon receiving an urgent supplemental order from Harbin Electric Corporation demanding delivery of the product by May 7, 2025, Fuan Heavy Industry responded swiftly to meet the stringent quality requirements and tight schedule. General Manager Liu Aiguo designated the Zala project as a “top-priority” initiative, personally overseeing its execution, while the Production Department issued Production Dispatch Order No. 1 of 2025—a “red-level” directive. Through meticulous planning, precise operations, and seamless coordination across all departments and production workshops, Fuan ultimately lived up to the trust and support of Harbin Electric’s leadership, setting a new industry benchmark by delivering large hydropower service gates in just 113 days—the shortest lead time in Fuan Heavy Industry’s history—and achieving the milestone of “delivering 100 tons of product in 100 days.” In addition, the successful casting of “five ingots plus two ingots” established a new company record for the largest steel volume ever smelted and cast, exceeding 280 metric tons.

Zara Hydropower Station is the core power station of the Southeast Tibet Clean Energy Integrated Base and a key national project for transmitting Tibetan electricity to other regions. It is currently the only hydropower project in China capable of undertaking the research, development, and demonstration application of 500-megawatt-class high-head impulse turbine units, underscoring its significant strategic importance and far-reaching developmental impact.
