[Company News] Liaoning Fuan Heavy Industry Awarded the “GEV Certified Strategic Partner – Global Castings” Award by GE VERNOVA

On November 28, 2024, Liu Aiguo, General Manager of Liaoning Fuan Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., led a four-member delegation—including Yu Guangyu, Deputy General Manager; Zhang Yong, Deputy Director of the Quality Department; and Yang Lu, Project Manager of the Marketing Department—to visit GE Hydro Power Equipment (China) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as GE Hydro). During the visit, the two parties engaged in an in-depth discussion on key issues such as product quality, delivery schedules, and pricing, and jointly explored prospects for future collaboration in the clean energy sector. Leveraging its outstanding performance and technological innovation in the manufacturing of large-scale hydroelectric turbine-generator sets, Fuan Heavy Industry has earned high recognition from GE Hydro. In recognition of this achievement, GE Hydro presented Fuan Heavy Industry with the “GEV Certified Strategic Partner” award. This honor not only signifies a further deepening of the partnership between Fuan Heavy Industry and GE Hydro, but also underscores Fuan Heavy Industry’s capability to provide “high-end castings and first-class services” to leading global enterprises.

During this visit, leaders and the procurement team of GE Hydro placed great importance on the occasion. Attending the meeting were Liu Hongli, Chairman of GE Hydro; Xin Wen, Head of the Procurement Department; Jiang Xinan, Global Casting and Forging Procurement Manager; Zhang Shuo, China Regional Procurement Manager; and Tina, Regional Procurement Manager.

During the meeting, Xin Wen, Head of GE Hydro’s Procurement Department, extended a warm welcome to the Fuan team led by General Manager Liu Aiguo and expressed full appreciation for the product quality and project delivery schedules that Fuan Heavy Industry has consistently provided to GE Hydro over the past two years. He noted that, as one of GE Hydro’s most important suppliers, Fuan Heavy Industry has undertaken the production of cast steel components for a large number of GE Hydro’s key hydropower turbine units and delivered them with outstanding quality, making its receipt of the “GEV Certified Strategic Partner—Global Castings” award thoroughly well-deserved. He emphasized that this award is the first ever presented by GE VERNOVA to a supplier following its business restructuring, underscoring Fuan Heavy Industry’s pivotal role within GE VERNOVA’s global supply chain.

During the meeting, Liu Hongli, Chairman of GE Hydro, referred to his previous visit to Fuan Heavy Industry, during which he gained a profound appreciation for the company’s outstanding performance in SQDC—Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost—and developed a fresh understanding of Fuan Heavy Industry. This reinforced his conviction that GE Hydro can engage in even deeper, long-term collaboration with Fuan Heavy Industry. He emphasized that Fuan Heavy Industry plays a pivotal role in GE Hydro’s global supply chain and is an indispensable partner, expressing his hope that the two companies’ business and quality teams will enhance communication and further deepen their cooperation. Finally, he reiterated that this award not only signifies GE Hydro’s high level of recognition for Fuan Heavy Industry but also positions Fuan Heavy Industry to leverage the entire GE VERNOVA platform to pursue broader global business opportunities.
