EPC General Contracting Project for Corrosion Protection Retrofit of Boiler Induced Draft Fans, Dust Collectors, and Chimneys at Fangda Jinhua Chemical Technology Co., Ltd.
On August 18, 2014, our institute won the bid for the boiler induced-draft fan and dust collector renovation project, as well as the anti-corrosion work on the 180-meter concrete chimney, for Fangda Jinhua Chemical Technology Co., Ltd.
This project is a supporting component of the desulfurization and denitrification engineering undertaken by Fangda Jinhua Chemical Technology Co., Ltd., and primarily includes: anti-corrosion treatment for a 180-meter-high reinforced-concrete chimney; upgrade and retrofit of the centrifugal induced-draft fans serving Furnaces No. 4 and No. 5; overhaul and maintenance of Electric Field 1 of the electrostatic precipitator at Furnace No. 4, as well as the dismantling and conversion of Electric Fields 2 through 4 into baghouse dust collectors; all under an EPC general contracting arrangement covering design, equipment procurement, installation, and commissioning.
On August 30, 2014, the project officially commenced construction; on December 25, trial operation was completed and the project was fully commissioned. The equipment has been operating stably, with a flexible and highly accurate PLC control system. All performance indicators have met the technical requirements, and third-party monitoring of the dust concentration in the flue gas from the electrostatic baghouse hybrid dust collector showed a value of 5.63 mg/Nm³, significantly lower than the contract-specified limit of ≤30 mg/Nm³.
The successful completion of this project has laid a solid foundation for the full-scale commissioning and safe production of Fangda Jinhua Chemical Technology Co., Ltd.’s desulfurization and denitrification project, earning high praise from the client.
